Since this item is so inexpensive, I ordered with my fingers crossed. It just arrived, and I am very pleased. The ten strands are on soft cotton-like string, and the glass beads are hand-knotted on the string. The beads are nicely rounded, and therefore not harsh on my neck and skin. The length is perfect to wear with a dress or suit. Every bit as nice as the photo. I am now going to order a couple more for stocking stuffers for this Christmas.
