| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Product Description This luxurious pearl strand showcases 10-11mm baroque Golden South Sea pearls, individually knotted on matching silk cord. The distinctive ridged pearls have a beautiful deep luster and are well-matched for shape. Their natural rich golden color seems to glow from within, and makes them a perfect complement to yellow gold jewelry. A fancy diamond-cut ball clasp, in radiant 14 karat yellow gold, finishes this beautiful necklace. Rare and exquisite Golden South Sea pearls are produced by the gold-lipped variety of the Pinctada maxima mollusk. These oysters thrive in the waters of Australia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, where they grow to impressive sizes. Nucleated with a large bead, and pampered in warm, pristine waters, the oysters produce exceptionally large pearls with an unusually thick nacre, a beautiful satiny luster, and a rich golden color. Because the process is time consuming (requiring at least two years for a single pearl) and because the oysters are highly sensitive to cultivation, South Sea pearls are rare and quite valuable. They make a unique and extraordinary gift.

| Customer Reviews: Beautiful, but not a $1500 strand July 13, 2010 Jamie A. Neidig-wheaton (Ashburn, VA) The strand is beautiful, but not worth the $1500 listed price. It's more like a $500-$600 strand. The knots between the pearls are well done and the pearls themselves are nice. My one complaint is that the clasp is difficult and seems flimsy compared to similar clasps I have on other strands. Overall, however, I'm very happy with the strand.
