These small hoop earrings are crafted from gleaming 14 karat yellow gold and accented with six channel-set amethyst stones. The round, faceted stones line the front of the earring, drawing attention with their rich purple color and pretty sparkle. Viewed from the side, the earrings have a broad surface of polished yellow gold; in back a filigree pattern adds a decorative touch.  Smaller Than I Wanted August 26, 2010

I purchased it as a gift but had to return it because it was quite smaller than I expected. I read some comment saying it was smaller and had some expection but still it is too small.
And I do not think it is that pretty neither when you look at the real thing. I think it is better to get a bigger one even you have to pay some more.

These earrings were purchased for a friend for her birthday. I loved them so much that my daughter bought me a pair. They are small but, even though large earrings are fasionable, not all of us have the long necks to wear them! The stones were a nice color and the details on the earrings were very nice.
