I received this item as a gift and was so excited! First let me say that this is a beautiful ring, the white diamonds and white gold looked great, very bright and sparkly. The ring itself with the center black diamond, surrounded by white diamonds is fantastic!! HOWEVER, the center black diamond came with multiple fine, surface scratches, and with a substantial nick out of it. I chose not to get another one, I have read other reviews with the same problem. For this money, I expect a higher quality product.

Sort of avoids all of the things that you would look for in a diamond. Dull and lifeless is a selling point? While harder than dyed black onyx, it really has no redeeming qualities, especially set in 10k white gold, mostly an alloy of base metals, which can cause allergic reactions to sensitive skin.
