The seller is reliable and my order was handled quickly. The pendant was well received by my wife. However, opals are different from other precious stoned in that they vary so much from one to another. With a diamond you can check the grading report and have a good idea of what you are getting. I really think that it would have been better to go and pick out the stone in person. Or at least have the vendor offer up some choices in particular stones. There is nothing wrong with the stone received; I would have chosen one with more personality.
Would I shop from this venor again? Most definately. Would I buy an opal? Probably not.

I was nervous about ordering jewelry online, but after reading all of the feedback on finejewelers.com I ordered a few items, including this opal pendant and matching earrings. The feedback was absolutely right, the pendant was stunning! The opal is of great quality, with nice, strong color flakes, the diamond is perfest, white and very prilliant, and the setting itself is of great quality. The presentation was very impressive, with a wood pendant box and a royal blue velvet pouch. It shipped out in 4 days with a free chain and gift-card. I will shop with this vendor for all my jewelry needs. They are just GREAT!
